Key Updates in Clarity 16.3.1
-
Smarter Reporting with Enhanced Data Providers and Report Designer (Beta)
- More Flexible Data Retrieval with Query Support (Beta): Users can now create custom SQL queries within Data Providers to retrieve and visualize data tailored to their specific reporting needs. This enhanced flexibility allows for more in-depth analysis and reporting on critical project data.
-
- Simplified Transaction Reporting (Beta): The Posted Transactions Across Investments data provider is now available in the Reporting Workspace. This out-of-the-box (OOTB) data provider allows you to view posted WIP transactions across investments in the Data Warehouse, combining query-based data with standard objects.
-
- More Powerful Filtering for Reports (Beta): This release introduces report-level and widget-level filters in the Report Designer, enabling report designers to configure precise filtering for their reports and empowering end users to adjust filters while viewing reports dynamically.
-
- Quick Data Summaries with Total Row Functionality (Beta): The Report Designer now includes the ability to display a Total Row in table widgets. This enhancement provides users with aggregated totals at the top of the table for supported attributes, offering a comprehensive summary of data in a report.
-
Enhanced Control and Accuracy with Business Rules:
- Enforce Data Standards with Conditional Required Modals: The Conditional Required Modal business rule in Clarity enforces data integrity by requiring users to populate specific attributes based on the value of another attribute.
-
- Greater Control Over Staffing Data: The business rules capability in Clarity has been extended to support the Staff Object. This allows administrators to give stakeholders more control over editing and visibility of staffing data based on their requirements.
-
Streamlined Agreement Management:
- Improved Visibility in Staffing Workspace: The Investments tab in Clarity's Staffing workspace provides a comprehensive view of active investments to aid strategic planning and efficient resource allocation. The Investments tab now includes the Grid layout, which displays all the active investments you can access.
-
- More Efficient Agreement Workflows: You can now create and manage business agreements from the Timeline layout if your administrator has edited the relevant investment blueprint and selected the Show in Details flyout option for the Agreements module.
-
Improved User Experience and Administration:
- Customizable and Localized Navigation Menus: Administrators can now use the System Settings workspace to customize the labels of the left navigation menu.
- Simplified User Creation with SAML: Clarity allows customers to log in using the credentials issued by an IdP that supports SAML 2.0. This capability has now been enhanced to ensure that if a user exists in the IdP but not in Clarity, the user will be created in Clarity at run time to ensure a seamless user experience.
