This March, Winmill is proudly celebrating Bill Rothseid's remarkable 25-year journey with our company. Bill's dedication, expertise, and positive impact have been invaluable to our success, and we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on his contributions.
Bill has been an integral part of our team since he walked through the doors, playing a key role in shaping our company's growth and culture. As Courtney Snipes, President of Winmill PPM, shares, "When I first came to Winmill, Bill was basically running all of the operations and sales for the Clarity practice." What makes Bill's tenure truly special is his unwavering loyalty and adaptability through company changes. He has been a constant presence, navigating the evolution from a single division to the three thriving divisions we have today. His commitment to excellence and his unwavering focus on client satisfaction have earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
"Bill's biggest strengths are his ability to relate to customers and make them feel comfortable throughout the sales process," says Doug Kalkowski, Practice Director at Winmill PPM. "He is very reliable and never seems to forget a name or face. He is also tenacious when it comes to sales and never gives up on an opportunity." Most of the team refers to Bill as the "OG" of the team, emphasizing his consistent presence and crucial role in driving the practice's success. "He is the workhorse who makes sure we all have enough work to keep us busy and profitable!"
Kevin Kilgore, CEO of Winmill Software, echoes these sentiments, emphasizing Bill's "unbelievable attention to detail" and his exceptional client relationship management skills. "For someone who has been here for so long, he is surprisingly flexible and willing to try new things, new approaches, new technology, new ideas," Kevin notes. He also highlights Bill's positive impact on company culture, describing him as someone who "truly cares about the people at Winmill, especially those on his projects."
Courtney adds, "In the five years I have been here, Bill has been instrumental in our success every step of the way. Our division now consists of three practices, and I guarantee that without Bill, none of that would have been possible." She highlights his diverse contributions: "He has onboarded new sales reps, interviewed many new consultants, managed countless accounts, and manages to do so with an incredible attitude."
Bill's contributions extend beyond client relationships and company culture. He has consistently demonstrated a willingness to adapt and embrace new challenges, as evidenced by his successful transition into the PPM space and his adoption of new technologies like HubSpot. Kevin Kilgore aptly puts it, "Bill is proof that an old dog CAN learn new tricks!"
Doug shares an example of Bill's impact on a key client engagement: "There are too many instances to count here, but one that stands out to me is how integral Bill was at getting and keeping Winmill involved at NASA through SAIC. That customer has so many unique and challenging ways of doing business and Bill made sure that we were always in compliance and kept the renewals coming in time and time again."
Bill's dedication and work ethic are truly commendable. "Impeccable," says Kevin Kilgore. "He is as honest as the day is long. He is trustworthy, dedicated." Doug Kalkowski adds that Bill "always finds a way to get us involved with a customer. Whether we can go direct or have to work through other vendors, Bill never lets an obstacle get in the way of closing a deal!"
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bill is a valued teammate and mentor. Doug expresses his gratitude for Bill's support: "Bill has been extremely supportive of my career progression at Winmill, even when I ended up stepping on his toes working with the same customers. He’s always been a team player and has helped me progress and take on more sales/account management responsibilities. He’s a great teammate and a pleasure to work with!"
Courtney emphasizes Bill's unique qualities: "He might come across as easy-going and laid-back, but rest assured, he has a sales style that is the most effective I have ever seen. He manages to be that one salesperson that you can actually trust. I have had customers call me and tell me how much they love him." She aptly summarizes Bill's value to the company: "It comes down to this. If anyone has a question about anything here, there’s a very good chance Bill knows the answer."
